Dyett & Bhatia is a general plan pioneer. Early work by our predecessor firm (Livingston and Blayney) shaped many of California’s current general plan practices. We remain at the forefront, preparing general plans for more than 70 cities throughout California in the last 25 years (20 in the last 10 years) from our one office, as well as EIRs on a vast majority of these. Clients have included some of the largest and fastest growing cities across California and in the southwest, as well as small and distinctive communities. We are creative and innovative – in recent years preparing one of the first Public Health elements as part of a general plan (winner of a national award from the American Planning Association) and environmental justice and climate change and adaptation strategies.
