Position

We are looking for an environmental planner experienced with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) to contribute to environmental and resource planning aspects of long-range planning assignments; conduct climate change and adaptation analysis; and lead preparation of environmental impact reports on long-range plans. Position will involve research and analysis; writing reports and plans; staff mentoring; and project management. Candidates should be self-starters, with strong experience with California planning practice and CEQA. 
 

Ideal candidates will have:

• Two to Five+ years of CEQA experience, with experience with program EIRs

• Interest and/or experience with climate change, air quality, and GHG modeling

• Strong writing skills

• Understanding of land use planning principles

• Effective verbal communication skills, and an ability to work effectively in teams

 

Candidates must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to travel occasionally.

This is a hybrid WFH/office position. Successful candidate will need to be based in or willing to relocate to the Bay Area.

 

Salary and Benefits​

Anticipated starting salary range for candidates with graduate degree and 4 to 8 years of experience is from $100,000 to $140,000 annually, plus benefits. Candidates with more experience with similar work would be considered higher salary. Actual compensation offered will depend upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, and experience with projects similar to those listed. The firm offers discretionary annual bonus; paid holidays, vacation and sick time; retirement savings matching; and other benefits, including health insurance.
