Dyett & Bhatia completed a comprehensive revision of the General Plan for this growing Central Valley community, located in Tulare County along Tule River. The General Plan was adopted in 2007. Dyett & Bhatia was then retained to prepare Porterville's Development Ordinance and Downtown Design Guidelines, adopted in April 2010. The Development Ordinance contains the mandatory development standards to guide development and implement the General Plan, combining the zoning and subdivision ordinances. The Downtown Design Guidelines illustrate key concepts related to site planning and building design, intended to enhance the appearance and vitality of Downtown.
