Vivian Kahn, FAICP, Associate Principal
Vivian Kahn has more than 30 years of professional planning experience in the public and private sectors. Before joining Dyett & Bhatia in 2001, she was Acting Deputy Director for the City of Berkeley's Department of Planning and Development and served from 1987 to 1995, as Berkeley's Current Planning Manager and Zoning Officer.
Ms. Kahn has particular expertise in the administration of land use regulations, dedication and exactions, environmental review requirements, historic preservation, telecommunications, and housing programs and policy. At Dyett & Bhatia, she is engaged in helping prepare comprehensive new zoning regulations for Oakland, El Cerrito, Manteca, Morro Bay, and Concord, and telecommunications regulations for the Humboldt County.
Vivian Kahn is a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners and holds a B.A. (Phi Beta Kappa) from the City College of New York. She has served on the American Planning Association's National Board of Directors and chaired the Board's Legislative and Policy Committee.
