The recently-completed South San Francisco BART station is located in the northernmost part of the City.  The framework, land uses, and development intensities for the station area were defined by Dyett & Bhatia as part of the General Plan, adopted in 1999. As part of General Plan implementation, a detailed station area design plan was prepared, led by Van Meter Williams Pollack with Dyett & Bhatia’s assistance. Dyett & Bhatia led preparation of the zoning regulations. The City adopted both the station area plan and the zoning regulations in September 2001.
