We have strong experience with public participation processes for all of the work we conduct, from detailed zoning, to regional plans, to large-scale urban design projects. Dyett & Bhatia staff is trained in meeting facilitation and has facilitated meetings for a handful of people to several hundred. We have a proven record of forging consensus in contentious settings, and preparing plans that are subject to initiatives and referenda - within the last three years, we prepared the Rohnert Park General Plan that was approved by 74% of the voters, and the San Ramon "Smart Growth" General Plan, approved by 78% of the voters. Our public participation programs typically include the development and maintenance of colorful websites, the creation of periodic newsletters, and the facilitation of high-quality and effective community workshops and surveys.
