| Working with a Zoning Code Update Task Force, including two members of the City Council, business leaders, design professionals and members of the Planning Commission, Dyett & Bhatia—in association with Lane Kendig—completed a comprehensive revision of the City’s zoning code. The work scope includes a comprehensive review of land use policies, recent development trends, regulatory issues and intensive interviewing of Code users. The previous code, with over 88 zoning districts and 15 use-type overlays, was unwieldy. Options for reducing the number of districts include greater use of performance standards and mixed use districts. Provisions for simplifying administration was also established. |
